BOLDEngineering, Applied, Users, Builders, Founders, Ideas, Products, Momentum
We enable the people who choose to build—and we’re working on a system that makes the founder path possible for more of them.
Explore↓The tools changed.
The risk didn’t.
AI made it wildly easier to build. But knowing what deserves to be built—and having the courage to own the outcome—is still rare.
The old bottleneck was access: engineers, designers, capital, infrastructure. Those walls are getting lower every day.
The new bottleneck is agency: taste, conviction, customer trust, and the willingness to keep showing up for a problem.
We don’t need more spectators.
We need more people in the arena.
Ideas,
applied.
The thesis is only useful if it produces real things. These are four current experiments—built to solve specific problems, learn quickly, and put the work where people can use or inspect it.
Hanover Schedule Builder
An unofficial Dartmouth MEng planner for exploring requirements, published course offerings, prerequisites, and instructors across all seven on-campus specialties.
Prediction Market Arbitrage
API-first research tooling that compares listings across venues, flags likely equivalents, and includes a paper-trading lab plus a deliberately constrained experimental live harness.
Research software—not a production trading system.Alt Indicator
A live intelligence dashboard that brings unconventional signals from markets, government disclosures, real estate, weather, sports, and online attention into one place—making it easier to notice meaningful movement before it becomes consensus.
Dump-n-Dash
An iPhone-first, crowdsourced bathroom finder with honest ratings, access notes, useful amenities, and candid reviews—helping people find a reliable restroom and know before they go.
Make the
downside smaller.
Entrepreneurship shouldn’t be reserved for people who can afford to fail. Change the economics and psychology of the attempt, and more capable people will take it.
01Question the default. Push the edge.+
The status quo is just somebody else’s old decision. We want people with the nerve to challenge it, push past the polite boundary, and build the thing convention says shouldn’t work.
02Room to take the first swing+
An early idea needs room before it needs certainty: time to test, space to learn, and enough support to keep moving. What that support becomes will grow with the work.
03AI that turns intent into implementation+
AI collapses the distance between an idea and a working product. Small teams can prototype, test, rewrite, and ship at a pace once reserved for organizations with entire departments—without lowering the bar for judgment or craft.
04Massive stakes for the people who build+
Builders should not be hired hands on someone else’s upside. Give the people doing the work a truly meaningful stake, and ownership stops being motivational theater—it becomes the engine.
05Fold talent forward when it doesn’t work+
A failed project should not scatter a great team. When an idea runs out of road, its people, lessons, and momentum can fold into the next worthy attempt—preserving talent instead of punishing the swing.
Build founders.
Let companies happen.
The companies are the evidence. Human potential is the mission. Bold Applied is working toward an institution that gives more people the confidence, support, and ownership to build something they never would have attempted alone.
